Who We Are
Environmental, Health, Safety, Risk and Emergency Management (EHSREM) serves as the university authority on regulatory compliance for a variety of programs designed to monitor environmental health, fire and life safety, laboratory safety, and risk management, among other areas.
What We Do
EHSREM staff provide technical expertise and guidance on safety and compliance to departments, staff, faculty, and students of Texas State University. Our goals are to assist the campus community with developing and implementing training, providing support for emergency response, and ensuring the safety of those on campus.
Mission and Vision Statements
The Mission of Environmental, Health, Safety, Risk and Emergency Management is to support Texas State University's educational, research and service mission by reducing injuries, accidents, environmental impact, and regulatory risk.
To work with students, faculty, and staff to continuously improve the university's safety culture by empowering our community to learn and work safely.
